SOUVENIR

Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York socialite in the 1930ʼs, fancied herself a great opera singer. There was just one problem: she was tone- deaf. But with a winning combination of determination and delusion, Jenkinsʼ popularity grew as she moved from small concerts to recordings and, finally, an outrageous sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. The hit comedy, “Souvenir”, is told through the eyes of Jenkinʼs accompanist, the struggling young pianist and composer, Cosme McMoon. A genuinely talented musician, McMoonʼs initial contempt for her gives way to reluctant admiration, then friendship and affection.
